Having the ability to have a local Server that supports/emulates all SQL azure features such as federation will improve the ability to develop quickly against SQL Azure

Providing one more option in Database Properties --> Options --> Compatibility Level to select SQL Azure would be great help to test/simulate/emulate SQL Azure locally.

Excellent idea, even a switch for the database so you can set it to Azure, like you can now set for 2005, 2000 or 7.

Am i missing one of the two things in your requests
        1) for MSDN subscribers
        2) for evaluation purpose (Like 30 days or so)

Overall - it would be great to have a free version ( feature complete is like an icing on the cake) of SQL Azure. More like a SQL Azure Express.

I voted this up one just to indicate I'd like to make sure Microsoft continues to allow MSDN subscribers access to a free SQL Azure database 24/7/365. I would really like to see you up the ante by increasing it to say 3 5GB databases instead of the 3 1GB of today.
