Thanks for your update Haydn. I thought nobody from Microsoft was monitoring this site...
I can only echo Peter's comment. It is simply not practical enough to run both SQL Azure and on premise SQL Server only to schedule delivery of reports.
I am not expecting my comment to change your internal set of priorities but again this is badly needed.

Clients are willing to pay for SQL Azure! But not for SQL azure AND on premise SQL Server only to use reporting services for delivery of reports vie email and/or data driven subscriptions.

Microsoft: any update on this? When can we get out-of-the-box scheduling function through the management portal? This would bring a huge added value to SQL Azure Reporting.
We really really need it in our organization.

This is much needed for us as well. There is quite a number of features lacking in Azure SSRS but this one definitely tops the list. It is becoming quite urgent for us as well...

We built our own scheduler and delivery service to handle this functionality.

We use extensive subscription services to deliver reports to our clients on a daily basis. This is the only stopper for us moving to Azure SSRS. Currently we are using a onsite SSRS with azure data source.
