        This has always been an issue with reporting services. The BIDS release schedule is never coordinated with the VS release schedule and you are stuck using two IDEs. It is the same now that SQL 2012 is out and VS 2012 is out. SQL 2012 BIDS works with VS 2010. Totally ridiculous. You would think someone on the SQL team could pick up the phone and call the VS team and say "hey, can I get some VS 2012 bits so that I can build an add-on for it since the outside world sees us as one congruent company even though we are really a collection of non-communicative disparate teams?"

        I agree, I was forced to adopt TFS 2010 for my projects and cannot fully integrate the new features of TFS without VS 2010. Working in multiple IDE's seems to be a step backward from where we were in 2008.
