Fix DiagnosticMonitorTraceListener to use Filter (TraceListener.Filter)
TraceListener base class provides support for TraceFilter and (if configured) uses filter's method ShouldTrace(). This provides flexibility and standard pattern for tracing.
DiagnosticMonitorTraceListener does not follow this pattern and ignores Filter at all.
It is now not possible to restrict the severity level in trace logs. Although it is possible to set filter on ScheduledTransfer to Azure table, it is not usable in combination with application's trace logs. (E.g. when Information level is required from application's TraceSource and only Warning level from standard Trace.)

Provide hosted StreamInsight
I hear about "Project Austin" every now and then (it was announced 2 years ago [1]) and the IoT is exploding and I'd love to start implementing stuff with StreamInsight, like the things shown at the MSDN article [2], but without an Azure-hosted server, it's going to be tough.

Better Integration with o365 SharePoint Online (ADFS/Claims Based Auth)
Azure SSRS SharePoint Online List connection type (Not available yet)
Seamless hosting of Azure SSRS Reports inside SharePoint Online webpart Pages.
SharePoint List Connector sync service that enables easy migration and syncronization of common data sources (odbc, ole, sql, XML, RSS) with SharePoint List data - Online and On Premesis.
SharePoint Lists are proabably the fastest growing data source anywhere, but now with Claims based Auth - oData/oAuth is far from trivial to code for.

Webpage to Image Capture Service
Currently AzureWebsites does not allow you to spin off processes and so the WebBrowser() class is unavialble. It would be brilliant if Azure offered a cheap or free WebPage to Image capture service that could be easily accessable from AzureWebsites. This would offer many uses like Thumbnail generation and dynamic image watermarking.
This would address the need for installation and use of these services IECapt, CutyCapt, html2image, websnapr, snapcasa, shrinktheweb, etc.

Allow changes to friendly names of Add-ons and such after initial creation.
I just added an add-on. However, I chose the wrong name for the add-on. Now, there is no way (that I have found) to go in and change the name that this shows up as, which is frustrating. I don't want to delete the add-on as the setup process took some time.

Have preconfigured development VMs for occasional contractors
I have a full time job, with access to the Microsoft stack. Occasionally, however, I take on small contract jobs on the side that require me to use the Microsoft stack.
I definitely wouldn't use my employer's equipment or software to do side jobs. It would be useful to be able to set up a quick Azure VM with either Windows Server 2012 Datacenter or Windows Server 2008 that includes the last 3 or 4 versions of Visual Studio, plus SQL Server Express preinstalled.

Replace unhealthy and constantly cycling nodes in deployments
Recently I have seen the situation several times where I will have several instances assigned to a deployment that just sit and cycle continuously. Waiting for status, starting, waiting, reboot, continue. This prevents VIP swaps to that deployment. I have also had at least one case where I had an unhealthy node and a pair of cycling instances prevent my role from finishing a scaling operation because those instances weren't stabilizing (support had to get involved).
When an instance is unhealthy or cycling for longer than N minutes, it should be moved off the deployment (and into a holding area…

a unified diagnostics solution for services and clients
Diagnostics is a great feature for azure. It would be great to expand that feature to other consumers such as a client app and across services. That way if a client app makes a request to a service that calls another service, all the logs would be available for analysis from all the consumers

mobile services
For windows azure when creating a new mobile service using an existing sql azure db, include the existing tables as well instead of only allowin a new scheme, how else can you reuse the data created on other platforms?

Enable renaming of Cloud Services
Please provide an administrator the ability to rename an existing Cloud Service. It would be more convenient to be able to rename an existing Cloud Service than the current alternative of creating a separate Cloud Service with a new name and then migrating over to it.

Shared components must be controlled using RBAC
The shared components such as Service Bus, Access Control Service, and Virtual Networks must be controllable at the account owner instead of all co-administrator.
Currently Management Portal provides only co-administrator can manage all the components in all levels. This provides role based access control issue for enterprise customers. When there are multiple applications hosted on a single subscription and given access to multiple project owners, the shared components needs to be controlled by a single person (consider as account owner).
The Role Based Access Control on Management Portal is very important for enterprise customers. For normal subscriptions, the current portal…6 votes -

Define server features in Role configuration file which will be installed when provisioning a VM.
I'm trying to add FTP site to my web role.
It requires adding features to the VM by using startup script that install the FTP server.
It could be very cool If I could select the features I need for my role according to the VM OS and you will install them when provisioning new VM.3 votes
