Enable CDN endpoint management using the REST API
We use this a lot. Since we want to implement our own management portal, it is vital that we can create and manage CDN endpoints in Azure.
I always thought that the everything you could do in the (old) portal, you could manage yourself as well throught the REST API...3 votes -
specify which local ip to give to my vm when I create or attach it.
Specify which local ip to give to my vm when I create or attach it. This way I can specify a series of dns servers and then actually have servers to apply those addresses to. This is also helpful when migrating servers since it will then maintain its addressing structure.

Enable Email
Provide email server for Web sites. The extra cost of SendGrid (not even an email host) makes Azure unnafordable for many small shops.

make it easy to auto-start services in web roles
As we're unable to access applicationHost.config, it seems incredibly involved to get a WCF service started automatically (for instance, so that it registers as an end-point on the Service Bus Queue).

Provide Reverse DNS for the Azure Virtual Machines
I run a simple Mail server and web server from my Azure VM, i migrated a few weeks back after my physical Server failed and thought this would be a great time to move over to the cloud. i set my server up on Azure all very happy, and started testing. All tests went well and completed the move. After running for a few days, i started noticing that some emails were not being sent. After much research, i found the issue arose because i don't have a Reverse DNS set up from the Azure IP address. i searched high…

Allow user to be logged with multiple Live IDs at once
I can be logged into Google\Gmail with multiple accounts at once i.e. work and personal, and easily switch between accounts. (

Support a shared configuration section with configuration values used by all roles
This will prevent a lot of duplicate configuration values in the configuration file.
Database connection strings, storage connection strings, queue names etc are likely to be used by more roles in a project.9 votes -
Send valid ETAGs
Currently, Azure sends ETags that lack the RFC2616-required quotation marks around them. This is a HTTP Protocol violation which can impede cacheability and which DOES prevent proper partial-download resumption in IE9/IE10. Please fix Azure to put quotes around the value in the ETAG HTTP Response header.

dmz
If DMZ can implemeted in Azure network, Then we can have ADFS in DMZ and federated with office 365.Therefore we don't need a high available ADFS on premises

Add functionality to check for queue with no entries (including invisible entries)
When a queue becomes empty I want to kick off some processing. However queue empty does not equal complete empty as there might be invisible objects on the queue that might come back. Thus it is not truly empty.
Functionality to check a queue _really_ empty i.e. no objects invisible or visible would be very useful.
Currently what I'm using is "peekMessage" returning null but this returns null even if there are invisible objects on the queue
