UDP EndPoints

UDP endpoints would allow for full RTP/RTCP/RTSP media streaming implementations as well custom protocols for game systems.

UDP ports are necessary to deploy a RADIUS server.

The lack of udp is the only foreseeable limitation to migrating our game server over to azure. Please make it happen!

We need it to communicate with some remote devices native implementations.

Lack of UDP is preventing a whole range of apps from being implemented. It would be very helpful to at least get some indication of whether this is even being considered as a feature so we can plan accordingly.

We cannot use Microsoft's Load Testing Tools effectively without UDP enabled. The Test Controller uses this protocol to collect data from the system under test. The system we are attempting to load test is running in Azure and we are not able to collect performance data from that instance because of this.

When does Azure plan to support UDP?

for example if you want to query a ntp server, thats only support udp

A lot of applications require UDP . Why Azure Don't Support It ?

I cannot understand a distributed online system without UDP

Want to migrate to Windows Azure but must have UDP for faster communications with our game and other servers. Please implement this at least in a simple case, i.e. only to VM roles and without load balalncing (which we don't use) - just want the communication capability. Thanks !

Our suite of products use a UDP. We can't deploy our solution into an environment where UDP isn't supported.

There are still multiple applications that we manage that require UDP transaction flow. We will migrate over to Azure once UDP is supported.

Our application which uses GPS devices that communicate via cellular use UDP to cut down on network traffic and costs. Without UDP support, we will not be able to port our integration engine over to Azure.

UDP is a requirement for us. Any status on if/when this will be added?

Without UDP endpoints, Azure is a non-starter for my company, which provides our customers with real time gaming server hosting solutions.

Wanted to move all my votes for from planned stuff, into this, but can only use 3 votes per VM. I'm quite suprised this wasn't announced at this PDC...

Yep, this is very important for a scenario we are thinking about that involves a large number of monitoring devices

UDP endpoints are completely necessary to implements acceptable real time applications, and would let a lot more people use Windows Azure infrastructure
