Hi I’m Mike Wickstrand, Senior Director of Product Planning for Windows Azure. If you have something you need from Windows Azure, please tell us what it is and vote for other's ideas. We want to better understand what you need from Windows Azure and to build plans around how we make the things that "bubble to the top" a reality for our customers in the future.
If you are interested in learning more about how The Windows Azure Team thinks about these ideas, please visit my blog here for an update: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/wickstrand/archive/2010/11/02/windows-azure-a-year-of-listening-learning-engineering-and-now-delivering.aspx
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Possibility to change subscription filter rules
To have a dynamic service bus, it must be possible to change subscription filter rules. Today, it seems that you have to delete the filter and create a new one.

Enable affinity groups to support inclusion of SQL Azure servers
Currently affinity groups support grouping only hosted services and storage accounts. The location of the database server is also critical for applications that rely on database performance and enabling affinity groups to include database servers is one way to solve this issue.
As of 2011 the finest granularity that is… more

Create guidance packages for common supported scenario's. So it's very easy to get started.
Create guidance packages for common supported scenario's. It should be very easy to get started. It should be not more complicated than :
1. Set your connection string to Azure,
2. point to an XSD and presto there is your webservice.
3. Want to store received requests in a table,… more -

Provide ServiceBus tunneling
ServiceBus requires access to too many addresses and ports when establishing a connection from a published service.
You should have 1 or 2 at the most ports that ServiceBus uses and everything gets tunneled through that.
e.g. calls to:
- accesscontrol
- watchdog
- sb-<servicename>...
- etc.Would make configuration… more

Azure Datacenters IP Ranges Listed
It would be great to have a CURRENT list of IP Ranges allocated to each Azure Datacenter.
The page should be on the Management Portal somewhere, e.g. under "Windows Azure Service Status: Running"
"Azure Current IP Ranges:...."Being on an endorsed MS page would ease Client's concerns about punching holes… more

Add Cache emulator to Windows Azure Emulators
I know I could install AppFabric Cache, but there are differences between caching On-Premises and in the Cloud.
Other way around emulator would be to provide cheap, low memory, operational time-limited Cloud cache, for development purposes only. -

Add native MVC3 support to WebRoles
"Elementary my dear Watson"...
So frustrating: at least 6 different assembiles ("NuGet.Core"?) required to run a basic MVC application.

During trial a cost counter for in the management interface would be great to see how much it would costs if I would run Azure with the current configuration.

make cache service less expesive
The cache service is just too expensive to use for a significant amount of data. Especially since it first uses memory from instances we've already paid for!

Create new SQL Azure role Backup-Manager and grant access to DAC WebService to users from that role
So far only server-level principal can execute SQL Azure export to bacpac file using DAC WebService (i.e. https://am1prod-dacsvc.azure.com/DACWebService.svc/Export). I suggest you create new role 'backup manager' and grant execute of export service to users in that role.

It would be great to have the ability to manipulate identity seeds on SQL Azure, like we have in other version of SQL Server.

Add an option to enable low Latency on Azure instances
Currently latency of Azure instances is too high. 250 ms is the limit to be considered acceptable for web sites, but for online web services in some cases is too high.

Email notification for Azure guest OS new updates before Microsoft applies these on VM's
Microsoft should send an email alert to the Azure service administrators before applying Guest OS updates. If a developer do not mention Guest OS version in Azure config file then Microsoft keeps updating the VM with latest releases and patches which is fine, but Microsoft should send an email alert… more

provide a sharepoint foundation role: instances with SPF2010 preinstalled, joined into NT domain
Hi!
Whats about providing a Sharepoint Foundation multi-instance role (subkind of VM role may be?). Differences:
a) instances joined into an NT domain with accounts like [serviceid_sibscriptionid]\UserName;
b) SQL Azure server required for SP databases and specified in roles config.
c) Servers are joined into the farm, instance 0 hosts… more
