Full Management Studio Support

Currently you can only run queries against SQL Azure databases. It would be good to get the rest of management studio working (object explorer etc.)

I just connected to my SQL Azure database for the first time through SQL Server Management Studio, only to discover it doesn't support database diagrams.

Are you kidding me? I have to script each and every modification?

I'm not too far along in my project, I may just use an ordinary SQL Express DB. Given the prevalence of transient errors, this means it may make more sense to drop SQL Azure altogether.

This feature is NOT available in SQL 2008 R2's Management Studio. Query Designer is not available, nor is the table designer. Its a pain in the ass typing out table alter scripts by hand. Query designer is a huge time saver as well. Does anyone know why this doesnt work out of the box?

Please add support for table designer and query designer!

The tooling must be unified, there should be no differences in developing for the enterprise or the cloud. I would really like to have database designer diagram and the query designer.

The GUI to Edit and Design would be really welcome!

I don't know what Roopesh and Dan are talking about, but Management Studio, as of 2008 R2, only has very minimal SQL Azure support. It would be nice if Management Studio had all the same features for SQL Azure as it does for SQL Server; at least mostly.
