        I don't see this as resolved. Paying for an extra dedicated service over utilizing free resources on existing roles is very wasteful ($$$). I'd like to at least have the option of which to use, "Dedicated" or "Roles" based caching.

        As much as I love working with Azure, I cannot believe we STILL do not have Velocity in Azure... This is VERY important for real-world applications.

        I should have expected to see Velocity already integrated and running out of the box in Windows Azure. Instead, I found a presentation from the last PDC addressing how to run Memcache in a worker role. Weird!
