We’re actively reviewing new locations for Windows Azure sites and are working with partners to enable them to provide services in geo locations were sites aren’t otherwise planned. So please keep the feedback coming as to locations were you would like to have Windows Azure available, as this is valuable input into our expansion plans. That said, building out geo diverse hosting environments is a nontrivial task and it takes time to build the requisite site and spin up the associated infrastructure. We’re working to accelerate this process and to make it easier to navigate the requirements involved in deploying to additional locations, but the timeframe to expand to all the geographies we would like will be measured in years rather than months.

At PDC 2010, we announced that the Web role will soon provide full IIS functionality, which enables multiple IIS sites per Web role and the ability to install IIS modules. The full IIS functionality enables developers to get more value out of a Windows Azure instance. Full IIS Support will be generally available to customers later this year.
Please let us know if there are important scenarios that the combination of admin mode + full IIS won’t solve for you.

Stored WCF endpoints in web.config ... a change means redeployment . Pain.

I was at PDC in 2008 and one of the case studies for cloud computing was a project in Africa for an education service in Ethiopia. The point they where making was that the cloud was perfect for scenarios where computing infrastructure is unavailable like Ethiopia. Perfect , i thought. So i got my beta account from PDC and started playing around in the cloud. Then Azure goes live , my beta account does not work any more and I cant pay because am from Uganda. Microsoft , this sucks.
